About the Institute Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT), an autonomous institution affiliated to VTU, Belagavi, offers UG, PG and Doctoral programmes. A unit of Nitte Education Trust, Mangaluru, it currently offers 9 UG programmes in engineering, 8 M.Tech programmes, MBA and MCA. All the UG programmes are accredited by NBA, New Delhi. The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, established in 1987, offers UG and PG programs. The department offers B.E in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with an intake of 120. The B.E. program is an Autonomous program under VTU since 2007 and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. The department offers M.Tech in Power Electronics (Autonomous under VTU) from the academic year 2014-15 with an intake of 18 students. A recognized research center under VTU, Belagavi, the department has excellent research and innovation practices including publications in refereed international & national journals and international conferences. Highly-qualified, passionate, dedicated faculty and a well-connected alumni network are the salient features of the department. Institute of Technology, Nitteis organizing a Two Day International Conference on ''Advances in Renewable Energy & Electric Vehicles (AREEV-2020)'' as a part of Multi-Conference ''International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering'' (ICETE- 2020) on 22 and 23 December 2020.
The conference is dedicated to driving innovation in nearly every aspect of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The conference provides a platform for researchers, professionals, executives and practicing engineers from various research institutes, educational bodies and practicing engineers from industries to share and exchange their ideas on the theme of conference. A series of keynote presentations, technical paper and poster presentations are planned to discuss on emerging trends, feasible solutions to shape and enable the development of mankind as a whole.
